With the recent addition of a Corsair mousemat to my set up, I was very excited to get my hands on the RGB gaming keyword G213 Prodigy by Logitech.
This keyboard would be replacing the standard one which came with the computer. While the computer itself may be a ROG Gaming Computer it didn’t come with the additional peripherals like you might have come to expect.
Unboxing The G213 Prodigy
First up, the box itself. I always think you can tell a lot about the quality of a product by its packaging. If you’re spending 50% or more than the average for a particular product then you will notice that in the packaging. That’s the same across all the markets, think about fancy chocolates, posh clothing stores or the way they even wrap the fancy luxury supercars.
While the Logitech G213 Prodigy is no supercar, you can see with the density of the cardboard used to package the item. Along with the bright colors of the box that it is of a particular quality.
Inside you’ll find minimal packaging (yay!) a simple film covers the keyboard to prevent the keys from getting damaged against the rough card.
The G213 Prodigy Keyboard
Now we’ve unboxed the G213 Prodigy keyboard, let’s talk about the detailed features and on offer with this product and the installation process required.
The G213 Prodigy is operated via USB. The USB cable is densely intertwined to prevent fraying or damage from excessive use, twisting etc.
There’s no installation necessary with the G213 Logitech Keyboard. Simply plug it into a USB slot on your computer and you’re ready to go.
The LED RGB colors of the keyboard are highly impressive. Bright, clear, and consistent across the entire keyboard. As you might expect
The End Result
I’ve been using the G213 Prodigy Keyboard by Logitech for about eight weeks now and I’m pleased to report it works great. The keys have helped me to vastly improve the quality of my gaming and I’m only left why wondering why I didn’t adapt to a ‘proper’ gaming keyboard sooner.
