The So Magic Terrarium is a super colourful, fantastic look at the basic science of when two chemicals meet and the reaction they might have.
Canal Toys has released the So Magic Terrarium in a variety of different sizes and formats. Today we’ve been sent the medium-sized tropical terrarium to review – as always, all thoughts and opinions are our own.
Setting Up The So Magic Terrarium
Being that the So Magic Terrarium is suitable for those eight and above, it’s relatively simple to set up with the guidance from an adult.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The entire set up process for the terrarium takes around 10 minutes – although a lot of that time is spent decorating the sand and jewels on the bottom of the terrarium.
The instructions are in written and photographic format broken down into steps to make the entire process easy to follow.
We went with a relatively basic sand design using the two colours (pink and green) provided. You can get as creative as you like with this, and really make your terrarium stand out from the crowd!
After One Hour
After just one hour we began to see the magic of our So Magic Terrarium take form.
After Three Hours
After three hours of the terrarium being left to sit, we noticed a significant amount of growth on the tree.
After Twelve Hours
An after twelve hours, the tree was fully transformed and looked incredible. Full of colour and life.
We were all so amazed how some water and magic powder could turn our basic cardboard tree into this incredible 3D masterpiece.
If you’re really looking for something to WOW your little ones, and introduce the concept of science then this is an incredible way to do so.
