If you’re contemplating getting a Sims 4 Expansion Pack soon then City Living is a great choice. The outfit changes are just a part of it with a new world at your fingertips and apartments to choose from – it really is like playing a new, more enhanced game.
We’re huge fans of The Sims franchise here in The Harrison Household. Everything from the classic computer game to the mobile and Nintendo DS version has been played. So, we simply had to share our thoughts and feelings about one of the latest PC Sims 4 expansion packs; City Living.
While we are usually ones to buy the digital downloads for the PC game. We actually found the physical copy on the best offer.
Remember, you’ll need the Sims 4 base game if you want to play the Sims 4 City Living expansion pack.
We went through the usual process of inserting the disk, completing the licence registration code and waiting for the download. All of which will take a different amount of time depending on your computer and internet speeds.
Then, we were ready to play…
For the full effect, we decided to create a new character. Like all expansion packs, Sims 4 City Living came with lots of new outfit styles. These outfits are particularly in keeping with the theme of the expansion pack itself. So, in this case, we found them to be ‘young’ and ‘hip’.
The City Living expansion pack also comes with an entirely new map. Here you’re able to experience city living, discover lively cultural festivals and live in apartments.
When in the apartments your Sims will pay rent instead of purchasing a house outright like they do on the other maps. All in keeping with the theme of ‘city living’. What’s great about this is it often leaves you with a lot of spare cash (each Sim family starts with 20,000 simillions) to play with!
As with any new map, there’s new places to visit in the city. My favourite has to be the Karaoke bar, however, there’s also art galleries and different festivals that appear within the city during different times.
The Sims 4 City Living is rounded off perfectly with the amazing new actions. In this case, Sim’s can perform and busk in the city square to earn tips. I’m in the process of getting our new Sim up to level 4 on the guitar so she can take part.
In conclusion, I think The Sims 4 City Living expansion pack is absolutely perfect for young adults and teenagers who are already fans of The Sims 4 franchise. It provides great value for money and is lots of fun for the whole family.
